Network vs Reimbursement Health Insurance in Spain

One pays approved providers directly while the other may repay part of eligible treatment after you pay.

Short answer

A network policy gives access to an insurer’s approved cuadro médico under its rules. A reimbursement policy can offer more provider choice but usually requires payment first and repays only the contractual percentage and limits.

Visa applications

A policy that works well for treatment may still fail an immigration rule. UGE guidance specifically rejects reimbursement-only cover where private evidence is used for the international teleworker route.
