Who may qualify
A spouse, registered partner, a former spouse or legally separated person receiving a compensatory pension and a qualifying child can fall within beneficiary rules when the legal conditions are met. Do not assume every adult relative qualifies.
Recognition comes before the health card
First obtain or confirm healthcare entitlement through the INSS. Then register with the autonomous community health service and request the local card.
Each person needs evidence
Keep identity, relationship, residence and entitlement documents for every family member. A policy or certificate naming only the principal applicant may not cover anyone else.
Immigration routes remain separate
Beneficiary status can solve the healthcare question but does not replace the immigration evidence required for a family route.
